Happy Holidays, O Ye of Numbered Days!

"Manifest Destiny": Mm, mm, Good.

2016-03-27: Waverly Iowa. On behalf of the 100,000 purely Native American souls of all tribes who inhabited the North American continent at the dawning of the white Europeans' occupation of this pristine land--beginning, let's say, about the year 1600--allow me to wish you white folks a happy day of Easter feasting. I cite the total number of Native Americans in 1600 at a hundred grand, for cultural historians estimate that to be the peak number of indigenous people sharing this great, fatted expanse of earth at that historic juncture.

Bondage No More: Mm, mm, Better

To the people of color currently appropriating this land for themselves, I also offer congratulations. Demographic scholars inform us that of the 50 formerly white-majority Areas of Dominant Influence (ADI's: cities, regions of abundant natural resources, and other set-apart places of significance), 48 have become minority-majority control. My hometown of Detroit is such a place. Affluent whites who once lived there now know how the aboriginal inhabitants of North America must have felt. The process of change is not always easy, but invariably proves itself all for the best. Incidentally, Native Americans used to call people of color "the Black White Men."

In the spirit of this shifting peoples over a remarkable land, I offer for your contemplation a bundle of wisdom in the form of blogs written by unrelated authors. They are related by the strand of cleruchy (the gradual usurpation of land by a new type of human) and the many insidious mechanisms that run through it and keep it dynamic.

For example, the narcissistic financial class is presently calling the shots; but worry not, no reign last forever except that of the Almighty. And She's got her eye on you.

They say that three is sometimes the charm. So enjoy your pumpkin pie whilst ye may. Tomorrow somebody else may be eating it, and your children shall be serving it.
